i think here is the parents fault. like a parent,you need to know your child,you need to take care of his education, need to know all his friends, and maybe things like that will be just stories. but when a parent allow to his child to do everithing what he/she want,for sure that child will get into a bad entourage,and have problems with drugs,alcohol,prostitution...

I know how you feel Anon, I haven't seen any of the ladies I've seen mentioned in threads about this. But hand on heart I couldn't say for sure that I haven't seen someone in this situation. It's a horrible feeling to think that I might have.

I always took a lot of the trafficking figures with a pinch of salt. what was the figure, 29 ladies brought to the attention of gardai as being trafficked, 21 of those were from africa and also seeking asylum

Being trafficked and working for a pimp or agency ARE NOT THE SAME THING!!!!! Ruhamma and The TORL love intertwinning the words because of the emotive effect it has on the general public and clearly on us punters with consciences.


What is being Pimped?? Again a broad stroke tarnishing any working arrangment of an escort unless she works for herself and herself alone. (Incidentally how many of us are self employed? Good for you if your are. I'm not, and there is a certain security not being your own boss).

There are multiple permutations to this. A girl could work for an agency and take her share of the profits. A girl could have come willingly to Ireland with the help of a syndicate and send back a % of her earnings. A girl could be with a useless loser boyfirend who lives off her but provides some sort of protection etc.. These are all incredibly different situations. But they have all been labelled "Pimped" - avoid at all costs!!!

To me the only time it maters is when a lady is under the absolute control of another individual and is forced against her will to work as an escort and has to hand over all her money to the said individual. That to me is a "Pimping " situation that is unacceptable.


I don't believe that any of the ladies that shall not be mentioned (out of respect from me, and also in view of Samlads good dictate) - were in this situation.

It is amazing how this has blown out of proportion and causing long standing revered members of this forum to self doubt. I don't think this is coincidence. Thre has been a spate of threads about this even though some of these events happened some time ago. Also there was recent re-questioning of the credibility of E-I as a site!
