I think I've told this story before, but I'll tell it again.

I joined under the username "anonymouse" with a mouse avatar, which was a dead fucking clever double entendre which none of these spas on these boards got. They all started calling me "Mousey", so after several months of reading it, I threw all my toys out of the fucking pram and changed my username.

Thanks for asking Kitty. I chose my username because I'm a natural leader, can see into the future and read prophesies, and can Kung Fu better than Kung Fu Panda!!......Not!!!!!

I dunno. I don't really remember how I came about choosing my user name. I remember thinking of calling myself something really stupid like Dickman or something along those lines! Thankfully I must have been watching the Matrix at the time and Morpheus is my favourite character. Plus I think I bear a vague resemblance to him! (Those pills are making me delusional again!!

)

In retrospect, I think it's not really a decision that many of us punters take too seriously. But it turns out to be a really important decision- because you're stuck with it forever. Plus it can make one look really stupid if the name is a daft one. And it can also lead to compromising one's identity if it's too close to the real thing.
