    So what will you do?

Come onto the forums and bitch about it behind a computer screen? thought so..
    Maybe send a few emails?

Take your fucking left little ideas and go fucking do something with them if you feel that strongly about
    it.

Thats not really fair Dub lad. I'm going to stand up for my mate Spermie here.

I take your point that the majority of us punters just blow a lot of hot air on the forum about the campaign to criminalize escort clients. But I think that is part of the blessing of the forum that it allows us to vent our frustrations or thoughts that we can't air in our real lives.

However, the affirmative action isn't really something open to most of us. There are issues that I have fought in the public arena, but I truly feel impotent when it comes to this matter. If I did go public - I would lose my job, my family and my friends. And in that event I wouldn't have a source of income to see escorts anyway and would be under public scrutiny. So I don't really see what options are open for me to fight this more effectively. To be honest, it isn't a sacrifice that I am willing to make.

Having asked the question yourself - may I turn it around to you - ie. " are you out there promoting, protesting against the opposition, marching the streets, rallying a few people outside?"

If you are , I take my hat of to you and say fair play, you're a better man than I am. But if you aren't, then may I put it to you that it isn't fair to critisize the rest of us that can't/ won't do anything more public.

I'm not trying to be confrontational. Just pointing out that this is an issue that frustrates many of us, clients and escorts alike, as the stigma of the indistry prevents individuals from sacrificing one's privacy in order to battle this in the public arena.

See you touched on something here

If I did go public - I would lose my job, my family and my friends. And in that event I wouldn't have a source of income to see escorts anyway and would be under public scrutiny.

This is exactly it, Like from what I gather on the forums that legalising escorting is the holy grail, the end game. Sure it'll be fantastic for escorts themselves but as for actual punters, there will always be that seedy socially unacceptable side of it, maybe
people need to be realistic about it, as much as admire the work of tobl I just think it's unrealistic I mean are we really going to lobby local tds?

And then ok sure maybe some of the stuff Rhuamma come out with is over the top and people come on here again being critical of the organisation when in reality they have helped real women even if it's just 1, it's 1 more than any of us have saved generally speaking.

Ruhamma are a front for the RCC to push its sexual mores, as others point out. I'm sure contraception, the Pill etc. are somewhere down their 'to-do' list.
