How important is the forum to E-I?

Simple. It's to put clients and escorts together. People can relate to each other and share experiences, get a feel of what someone is like. For escorts, it's to build a relationship (in a professional capicity in most cases) with clients. As thehighwayman says, it's the information highway (pun accidental!) and if there's any issues, these can be reported.

There are SO many reasons for the forums. Yes, it's a very small percentage of people that use the message boards, but look at the community we have here. You're asking what's the point of the forums? What are you doing here?

I was asking what the gain is for E-I? You've answered some of that. But truth be told E-I would probably survive financially without the forum, given that it is a small group that actually use the forum part of E-I.

So, I for one am grateful to E-I for running a moderated forum with so many facilities and different sections on the community page. As I am appreciative of all you mods and managers do - because I understand it's hard (and maybe thankless?) work.

I think Morph was really asking about the financial benefit, if any to E1, rather than the need for a 'democratic' forum. I presume originally E1 expected far more Escorts to take advantage of the message board/forum than they do and was meant to be an incentive to them rather than to us none paying punters

I know we (as mods) have had our gripes about this being a thankless job, but we do know that there's a lot of you out there that do appreciate it, so thank you too It's hard work, but then again, we wouldn't have it any other way

Sam I think you're taking this the wrong way and I'm sorry if I haven't been able to express my initial question adequately. I am a big fan of the forum and have already said this. This isn't a thread critisizing the value of the forum to it's members, or of the staff running it.

But E-I is a business. Hence my question is as Mellors kindly vocalized for me.

From a business perspective? I suppose it helps our customers (escorts) interact with potential clients which is a perk of posting on the boards.

The forums are vital. Think of the amount of guests that read the forums. In any one day there us at least one thread of interesting and sometimes crucial information to the serious or habitual punter. I was a lurker for years gaining invaluable advice and tips. It also helps to educate the casual punter to respect the gals and maybe to wash yer mickey. It helps to reassure the nervous first timer to take the Plunge and go out there and meet that honey that may well change his life.

And all this may be done with out posting a 'lol'

I can remember when I started here I thought that all this was too good to be true but by reading a few threads I realised a dream ... Also it was from these forums that I found out Gerry Ryan was dead, Amy Winehous was dead and that Ciara is a slut. I would be lost without these forums.
