    RIP Brian

I have to agree with everyone here - it is very sad for somone to go at such a young age.

It is stories like Brians that lead me to this site in the first place. Life is too short to deny myself the experiences that I have had since I started visiting this site. Some good, some bad, some brilliant (she knows who she is) but all experiences that I would not have had if I not come here the first time.

Very Sad - he has family here in the midlands and my heart goes out to them. I'm not a FF supporter, but always thought he was a good guy

    RIP Brian.
Retired from punting, yet still here?

He was a good man first, a husband and father second, an irishman third and a politician last. Regardless of his decisions he did what he thought was right even when it was wrong personally. A story of courage and public service ahead of personal welfare.

very sad. i really felt he had our countries best interests at heart even if i did not agree all the time with his execution.
52 is far to young. one of the few politicians that i believe was not in it for what he could get.

RIP to this amazing man who, despite being a millionaire and a member of the most corrupt political party in this country, managed to connect with people so much. It was terrible to hear how he died, but at least it was at home surrounded by his family, and not on a trolley in a hospital or from something that you need to be on a waiting list for.

    RIP Brian.
