Guys I'm sorry to say it I visIt and work in the north a lot and the devide is easing slightly but it still there, let me tell you us Irish are one of the most racist societys around, you look at some of the people that have gone to America and the shit they say when they come back. Now here's one I challenge all of you to go out and ask 3 people today would they like a family of Travellers to move in next door to them? I know what answer you'll get and it will be 90% on one side. I have worked with Travellers some are arseholes but some are good it's a big like ourselfs really. But guys be carefull when you talk about raceists you could be one yourself and as for me I don't give a shit about race I just love SEX!!!!!!!!

I have never experienced racism, against myself that is, until I came to Ireland. It shocked me. It was based on nothing more than my accent. I honestly pity the ignorant.

I think most countries with low rates of immigration probably are. Integration takes time. I used to live in a small place in the north of England where in 10 years I did not see one non-white person. I'm sure there are people who have lived there all their lives who have never seen anyone with black skin.
But, that's all it is...skin! People, and cultures are diverse and I think it's wonderful.

People need to stop living in the past and just be glad to be alive.

I would like to take this opportunity to point out to the the middle aged checkout lady in Tescos, Ireland, who more or less threw my groceries at me after she heard my accent..that I was not personally responsible for anything my country did lol

I lived in Spain for a couple of years and while there I dated a girl from Brazil. We were together for nearly two years and I really thought she was the one.

The relationship came to an abrupt end when she told me that I wouldn’t be acceptable to her family and we broke up. It came as a bit of a shock to me as it had never entered my head. She declined to explain why I wouldn’t be acceptable and as I am a reasonably well adjusted male I put it down to race/colour.

Perhaps it was her way of exiting from a relationship that she felt had run its course but to this day I wonder.
