If not else worth the international exposer we got from it .: doc
Never mistake kindness for weakness .: doc
Thought the gardai did a great job of controlling the protesters when the protest became violent. It was a pity a few thugs tried ruining a historic visit in Irish history

A very proud week for our small country. We really showed how welcoming and friendly this country can be. We are regaining some of the spirit this country has always had. The celtic tiger took that friendliness and warmth away but we are coming back stronger and better than ever. Is Feidir Linn !!

As the President Mary McAleese said in her speech "while none of us can change the past, we can change the future", of course as I am not Irish I don't have the grief that the Irish do but I think and hope that both visits benefit Ireland.

A great international showcase and wonderful boost for the public morale, can't help thinking it must have cost the city centre ladies a fortune in lost business!!!!
I was in Cork city when the Queen and Prince Philip visited. There was a great atmosphere before and during the visit and a genuine warmth shown to and by the people.Hopefully all past wrongs committed by all sides are now finally history. As for Obamas visit well as a lot of people have stated it was a stop on his re-election campaign but if it brings in some more tourists to the country then all the better.
The Truth is out there.
