I've been working in 5 different countries during 8 yrs of escorting (yeah,8!! )..I think the irish are less spoiled than the german,italian,spanish and belgian guys..
germany-If you don't speak their languages,most of them are refusing to speak english or a common language!!!
italian-in their night-clubs,If you r not a "miss univers",you'll be avoided!!!

As there are no places like the ones you describe above in Ireland the experience here is going to be very different, when abroad it's more of an in and out with the girl trying to get you off as quickly as possible. Yup I think that's why. I worked in clubs and bars etc and it was a lot different. The men were ruder but then again I was able to be ruder. It was rather cards on the table.
