Good news, Bin Laden is dead. That Islamofascist fucker is burning in Jahannam right now.

I've been flicking between the BBC and Fox News (yes, I know, but they love reporting stuff like this) and according to El Presidente Obama, who went on TV last night to tell everyone -

- Bin Laden was living in a high-security compound in the town of Abbottabad, 60 miles north of Islamabad, with some of his family members. The CIA got suspicious when they put the place under surveillance and saw that several couriers were going to and fro every day, as well as other things like the occupants burning their own trash instead of leaving it outside for collection. They tipped off the President last August that they thought they were close to poinpointing Bin Laden. For the past week, the Navy SEALs had been practicing storming the compound. On Friday, Obama gave them the authorisation to attack. Last night, four chopperfuls of SEALs and CIA operatives attacked the compund, killing most of the occupants including Bin Laden. They took his body to an American ship off the coast, where it was buried (dumped, I hope) at sea to avoid his gravesite becoming a shrine for other maniacs.

Hmmm. They showed pictures of all other captured terrorists, dead or alive. What is with the secrecy? Nope, don't buy it.

If Obama was telling a lie, then to refute it, all Bin Laden would have to do is issue one of his videos/tapes or whatever. Al Jazeera would be perfectly happy to play it for him. There'd be no point in making all of this up if it wasn't true, it'd be too easy for things to go wrong.

Self perpetuating myths create disorder and alarm. If someone says you are dead the only way to prove you are alive is to show yourself.
