Nobody really knows what they will do until placed in that situation.
Most will say they will only risk their life only for friends, family and love ones,
however it is amazing what people will risk when they or others are placed in a life threatening situation.

Some call it 'fight or fly', I believe its more to do with human nature.
I would challenge anyone not to risk their life for an unknown person if they could save that persons life!
When the situation arises you do not think of the risks you take, or indeed the loss your loved ones may endure if you die.
All you can think of is the current situation, and how you can try to circumvent that heinous act.

Sometimes a person may seem fluffy in normal life, but you never know the true spirit of the individual.

Although, I have in fact caught a grenade that was thrown at my friend once... We were both walking carefully up along a forest trail, heading up to what appeared to be an outpost of some sorts. We went to investigate and all of a sudden it started raining bullets! We ducked for cover. All of a sudden a grenade gets thrown towards my friend. I jump in front of him and manage to throw it away just in time. But then some MOFO with an RPG flanked us from behind... So we had to restart that level of the game again. *sigh*... lol

Seriously though, I would hope that if the time ever came, that I would try and save my friends/family by putting myself in harms way. But as Morph said, we don't know what we'd do if it ever happened.
