The iPad will work fine anywhere. If you plan on using 3G data, however, be sure to buy a GSM (AT&T) model not a CDMA (Verizon) model.

as dave says the AT&T one should work fine provided you don't sign up to any plans, also you may want to consider that as it's US you'll need an adapter. Apple make all their plus modular so it shouldn't be a problem if you have any other apple products you just need to swap the head.

All my Apple products come from the US, I refuse to be ripped off by what they charge over here. They work just fine. Unless you need the GSM feature, save the money and go for more memory on the WIFI one, also don't forget the Smart Cover, I am getting mine in Pink of course.

Ok so if i buy at&t gsm, will i be able to take my sim card out of my phone and use it in the ipad for video calling/internet in the car etc.
you should still be able to get a micro sim in a mobile retailer, as far as I know the iphone 4 has one too and I'm sure you can buy them
EDIT: http://forum.vodafone.ie/index.php?/...e-4-micro-sim/ hope this helps
