good post jc and very brave to discuss openly. it is the elephant in the room for a lot of men.
men associate so much of their being with being able to perform sexually and so when it can't happen it is really distressing.
once it happens it is always a future worry.
has happened to me a couple of times with escorts and it certainly was not their physical appearance that was the problem they were both stunning.
once it has happened it kind of stays with you. also it has only happened with escorts, i put it down to a certain level of anxiety on visit where heart is beating faster etc etc.
also stress can play a big part.
the important thing to remember is that most of us will experince this at some time and working through it by discussion and shared advice is very helpful

Its usually later in life but is not always limited to it.
You would have to be unhealthy in general for it to happen any younger than forties

Its usually as James said caused by smoking and being overweight
But a lot of time it can be caused by stress

Great post jimbob: all I'll say is listen to your doc he has seen you had a chat with you , we could all do a google search on said subject And become 5min experts on it , each case is different and so for that reason stick with your GP advice.

Fair play to you jimbo but since you said you only have this problem with escorts and not the missus I'm surprised your on viagra as you probably don't have a true sexual dysfunction. Same with anon to. What ye have could be psycchological not medical so ye don't have to take it

Ain you could always ask the doc that you don't always have the problem so he might find you an alternative do the wife won't know about it

As the Doc says best to ask your GP. They are sooo used to dealing with yhis. My guy suggests that it happens more middle aged men as the have had a life of drink, fags, and unhealthy eating that contributes to the narrowing of the arteries.

No ...I didn’t mention Escorts, and I described my failings exactly as I have here, but replacing ESCORT with WIFE.

Physically there is nothing wrong with me? Ok if I visit an escort without taking a drug I WILL get an erection but may find it losing interest after some time. Now this depends on the girl, my mood and physical well being. Pop a pill and I can go for round #2. Where would you put your money...lol
