Yep Death Magnetic is a solid album but no way did it deserve to win a Grammy over Opeth's Watershed

There are so many great bands out there, but here's a few:
Iron Maiden for sheer live power, lyric & music writing, Steve Harris & Nicko McBrain are probably the best bassist & drummer around, 3 incredible guitarists & Brucey on vocals - what a combination!
Metallica ( St Anger not included ) pioneering godfathers of heavy rock/thrash metal. Master of Puppets will never be surpassed imo with Death Magnetic a close second.
Guns n Roses until Axl Rose disappeared up his own backside. Apetite for Destruction - master piece of classic rock.
Rolling Stones - 40 odd years & still going strong.
Hendrix, Clapton & Jeff Beck - guitar gods.
Johnny Cash, Steve Earle & Keith Urban - country at its best.
And in no particular order RHCP, Queen, QOTSA, Muse, Velvet Revolver, The Union, Whitesnake, Grainne Duffy, Muse, Biffy Clyro, The Eagles, Garbage, Faith No More, Kings Of Leon, The Clash, Sex Pistols, U2, Undertones, The Black Crowes, Led Zep, Van Halen,
Probably forgotten a few, but this is a start :-)
