But I like animals and when I'm there they would be pampered beyond their wildest dreams.
I think cats are a better idea anyway, they'll need less maintanence than dogs.

It's a nice big shed and lovely and warm so not too bad a place to be. There's even an old mattress there already that it could use as a bed.

So the question is, what breed of dog would put up with being locked in a shed for a couple of days a week?

Thanks in advance for all contributions.
you couldn't lock a dog away for 2 or 3 days at a time. dogs need attention. need to be walked. not bloody locked away.

if you do get a dog and can't be with it for a few days leave it into a dog kennel. usually €10 a day.and if you are going there often enough im sure they would give you a discount.

but judging from your post i really think you should avoid getting a dog. i dont think you are ready for the responsibility
    see you next tuesday

Forget about dogs, cats ect if you are away that much..
I think you might be better off with a snake (cue trouser snake jokes) or other reptile.
Type of animal that you can leave for a few days without it minding. Not quite a cute as a kitten though !

there are catterys too that will look after a cat if you are away for a few days at a time. cats do need less attention then dogs, but it still would be animal cruelty to abandon one for a long period of time.

A tragic coincidence- My 14 year old cavalier just died. In the last hour, heart gave out. Gutted. Heartbroken. He had a good, happy life, and was my little buddy. RIP. You get very attached to them. Don't do it. I'm gong to bed now.

Leaving a dog into a kennel can be very stressful on the dog.
