Its because its an open poll that you wont get a true gauge Sam, been my experience that many escorts do not vote in things when name is seen, be better to have one in escort forum and/or have that one not showing names in there or ask for escorts to pm you their vote.

It is far too easy for somebody such as a trafficker or pimp to review a few escorts that they control (and maybe a few others to get their review numbers up) and then get those escorts to write references for them to be awarded the badge. In addition, there have been reports of badge holders abusing the badge to get freebies or reduced prices in return for positive reviews.

Leave it up to members to decide who they trust themselves.
One solution to help in that would be for TR panel to ask me to run checks on escorts that gave refs to a client and I can have a look and see do they link, I already know many that do and if they gave a ref to one person it would help panel combat that problem, not solve it but I am certain I would find links between some.

I like the reviews. If I like a girls profile then I will always look at the reviews. If she has a positive reviews by lads that are regular posters then it seals the deal. I don't care if they are TR's or not.

If some guys are using it to obtain discounts/freebies etc as has been mentioned then that in my eyes is abuse of the escort.
Anything that leads to any abuse should be abolished, they have enough to deal with.

I assume that if you have had complaints from more than one source the badges have already been removed?

Problem with that is escorts on the books of a pimp can get a valid TR badge taken away just as easy as get the pimp badged. I don't envy E-I task in this area of TR, its near impossible to get out the core problems but like Amy said problems exist in everything where status or position can be used for private profit, only have to look back over our politics the last 20 years (and longer probably) to see that.

I have already shown I have no problem with that as i have nothing to hide, pity others wouldn't be so forthwith..

This proposal will be passed by a landslide, I'm sure, but I'll cast my NO vote anyway.

I think the Trusted Reviewer system is a great idea (bit like Communism, maybe), but it probably needs an overhaul. I still think we should keep the system, because if a punter can be identified as a genuine fellow only looking for a good time every so often (like me ), then it makes sense that something like a trusted reviewer badge should be given, if only to increase escort safety - I'm sure an escort would be relieved to know that a genuine client was making a genuine appointment. It's not, as some posters on this thread have claimed, about privilege - I think it should be about escort safety.

I've always found it odd that there's so much innuendo about the TR status - ooh, they're using it to get extra freebies or whatever. I never see any of these threads (which should cause outrage) on the boards, or I never hear of any TR having their badge revoked because they were abusing the system. I don't understand why an escort cannot privately report a TR for trying to abuse the badge. No specific cases have come up on the boards to my knowledge, and you can't convince me it's because other posters/escorts are scared to report - after all, not a day goes by where someone's not fighting with someone else over something.

Many posters will also vote YES simply because they don't have the badge and begrudge those who do. I've not seen any viable alternatives being debated on the boards (except the Jimbop's).

Many posters are not even genuine posters - they're whoever making comments to cause trouble.

For the long haul, I'm not sure I have an answer - I'm not even sure there is one. I certainly don't want to compromise my anonymity, so if a real-life ID background check was introduced, for example, I'd be against it. But I still think it's worth identifying genuine clients - given the great veil that is the Internet, I'm not sure there's a way to make that happen easily.

Keep the system or something like it, but make it foolproof, if possible.

When this debate finishes, and usernames you've never heard of have all voted yes to abolish it, it'll be interesting to see how an entirely blank canvas impacts on how independent escorts choose their customers.

In my short time here three reviewers have had their badge removed for misuse. If that isn't an indicator all is not well, I don't know what is.
