Chat room etiquette

I decided to pop into the chat room today and say hi and see how things are around here. Almost instantly I'm being asked for my website details and after being assured it is ok to do so I pass the information over.

Within moments of doing so I'm being told that the other girls in the room are a lot more attractive and after directing a couple of comments towards one of the girls I had no reply at all and decided to leave them to it.

I didn't really go in there to get business, as much as find out a little more about what it is like in Belfast at the moment, since the last time I went there was 20 years ago. I thought it might be nice to have a chat and see what the locals are like.

Was I just unlucky or is is normal to be slagged off and ignored in the space of 5 minutes? This wasn't everyone I admit, but it did go awfully quiet after they had seen my profile. I am starting to wonder if touring Belfast was a bad idea altogether.
