People often talk about O'Leary as if he had invented cheap tickets. He didn't. Low cost carriers appeared in a lot of places at roughly the same time, some earlier. He didn't even invent Ryanair. If there hadn't been a Michael O'Leary we would still have a low cost airline, it might be a different one, but it would probably still be crap.
