Interestingly the website Gort Tourist Information - Online Guide to Gort Galway Ireland states...

"Some 40% of the residents of Gort are non-Irish"

And you know what that means, nudge nudge, wink wink, say...no...more!!!
Thanking you for the link to that colourful and informative website. I delved into the depts of Gort culture and explored every point of interest and read each and every poetic page.... whilst waiting for me toast to pop...

It was truely a Historic Journey into a quint little Dingleberry Town. A town that brought great joy to the Galway County Tourist Board... since it was bypassed.

    Typical Gortonian...

I look forward to my pending trip with anticipation....

Gort is a world famous escort training facility hence the 40% escort rate in the town. Every escort in the world has to spend 3 weeks there every 2 years for re-training. They have also moved the bones of Mary Magdalene to Gort to help emphasize how important the training is to the local economy.
