I am having exactly the same problems using iPad on 3G using 3 network.
Did everything as outlined above including restarting - still wouldn't work.
Works for a few minutes then " server cannot be found"

Mine is the same... up and down more often then a whoooores knickers..

I was having problems from saturday night just got back into site this minute still a bit slow.
