this post almost reminds me of the hundreds of "escorts are too expensive" threads, at least Ryanair doesn't try and hid their "extras" unlike some of the girls I have met here. AT the end of the day if people don't want to follow Ryanairs clearly laid out rules and pay their prices then they should fuck off and travel with a competitor. Ryanair is one of this countries greatest success stories and all anybody ever does is bad mouth them, when instead of spending the evening giving out why not read their rules!!!!!
I agree - Ryan Air make no pretense - they are what they are and I for one like them - cheap flights - remember pre Ryan Air what you had to pay to get off this bloody island. If you don't like them then choose another airline. As to throwing off rowdy passengers well having endured drunks on flights about time - sit in your seat and don't piss people off and you get to fly - simple really.

Spanish people have also stood up to the ridiculous charges Ryanair have. A judge recently ruled that the charge for not printing your boarding card is not legal. The airline selling the ticket is responsible for issuing you with a ticket to board the plane. Obviously Ryanair earn loads from this so aren't taking it laying down. They've appealed the decision so passengers wait with bated breath for the time being.

What I find OTT is this: You have to print a boarding card on A4 paper, or pay £40 for them to issue this at the airport. I didn't print mine off for my flight here on Saturday. I wasn't issued with an A4 boarding card, far from it. A tiny piece of tracing paper with faded writing on it seemed to be fine. £40 well spent eh. If I would have presented this as a boarding card I would have been laughed at but it's ok for them. hmmm. In the end I would have been better off flying with a different airline by the time I'd paid this. Own fault I know but it still stings.

Although I HATE flying with Ryanair (feeling like cattle, fighting for a seat, being bombarded with adverts for the entire duration of the flight and so on), I'm with you HL - they're loads cheaper the majority of the time. However, if another airline slightly more expensive I'd fly with them rather than give O'Leary my business.

He's good at making money but there's more to a successful business than the bottom line. I could make more money if I rushed my clients and didn't offer a good service but I refuse to be this way. Such a thing called Pride gets in the way, I'm happy to report.
He isn't a good business man if people are continually unhappy with the service he offers. It's a case of like it or lump it. I see no reason why the general public shouldn't try and fight against the excessive charges that are invented every few months. Power to the people!

The people were spanish who took Ryanair to court. That's why unlike English and Irish they're doing something about what they
see as a problem rather than sit on their arses complaining.

Ryanair aren't the be all and end all of cheap air travel. They're slightly cheaper if you dance to their tune but one small error and BANG - That'll be 50euro extra. No please, thank you, kiss my arse - nothing. Just pay. Bollox to them. Fingers crossed the spanish court rip them apart and make them pay back every penny they've squeezed out of people for petty crap.

I've been using ryanair flights at least once a month for the last four years and have only twice been delayed in all that time.

The abuse, whingeing and plain rudeness towards staff I've sometimes witnessed is jaw-dropping.

A Ryanair flight is a flying cattle truck, but it gets me to the destination I go to on time, almost every time (2 late flights late in the above period that I can remember) sometimes for less than the cost of either the taxi fare to get to the airport or the cost to leave the car in the long-term car park.

All their charges are laid out before you when you book, if you pack too much, forget your pass etc that is your fault not theirs.
I have forgotton my pass a few times but cest la vie, I cant justifiably give out to them abaout that.

If it were not for ryanair you would still be paying aer lingus or british airways mad money to fly they've changed the whole industry and people travel way more now because of this. If you don't like them don't use them as you can now use other airlines that have being forced to match rayanair prices.
