Well, say you put three thousand pounds in a..AIB account. But you arent registered for tax here and you cant find credible means to account for it in the country you are from..what happens to the money in those accounts? The owners have to prove they have earned that money and paid taxes at source. If you cant, it is sacrificed to state. So..who benefits from strict nationalised monitoring of finances?

I am not on a tax bandwagon. However, I own a property and I use the NHS in my country. I have a moral obligation, I believe, to at least pay my due. Also, I wish to avoid being sued for unpaid taxes at some point. However, if I was a single mother moonlighting to cover her childrens costs and live a little, I would stay as far away from the tax etc as possible. Horses for courses.

Who said anything about declaring it all, thats the rule with cash. Unwritten of course. If escorts are self employed and pay tax, could we get vat reciepts to claim back the vat. Could imagine my accountants face.

This is all a bit over my head to be honest but I think you're saying that if you don't lead some sort of a legit existance in the established economy, you're exposing yourself to having your cash in the bank siezed.

Couldn't you have won the three grand on a horse ? Or in a casino ? I always thought the burden fell on the State to prove you didn't earn it legitimately as opposed to the other way round.

Last time I planned on buying property was in 2004 in Stockton, Ca. and for some reason I didn't like the deal that was being offered-I remember thinking it was a Pyramid scheme-well, for the last couple of years Stockton, Ca has had one of the highest foreclosure rates in America, and that 'deal' was featured in the tv show 'American Greed', now there were little details as to why I wasn't keen on it, and they were all featured in that show. ' Property?' I can make more money betting the Stock Market, thank you very much1

I dont believe for one minute you are dense but here is a little insight into the last person that tried that..

Gilligan: Never got money from illegal means - RT News

All assets unaccounted for can be seized if you are found to have committed a crime. Of which, I believe, tax evasion is one.
