Chapter One - Parnell Square - Michelin Star, pricey but the food is the best in Dublin IMO
Diep le Shaker - Just off Pembroke Street - Asian Food, fantastic food and great craic, good cocktail list too.
Shanahan's on the Green - Stephens Green - Pricey enough but good steak and can be quiet enough.
Rustic Stone - South Great Georges St - Haven't been there but the head chef had a Michelin star when he was in charge of Mint. I've heard good reports and it's on my list.

if none of them suit let me know and i'll think of some more for you

I can't think of the name, but like the Italian place in Meeting Hall Square on Eustace St. in Temple Bar-very good food and priced just right; always heard rave things about Chapter One which Dave mentioned already

Bootslick, Montys looks quite good too.

I'm just wondering if there are any jems I don't know of.
Never had a good meal in the Troc but always have had a great time, good atmosphere but lousy food. Never been to the Cedar Tree but I'd avoid Montys like the plague

That Italian is called "Il Baccaro", I heard Paulo Tullio say it was his favourite Italian in Dublin (on Moncreiff), also it's in Meeting House Square. Was there once a good few years ago but I was pissed so can't really say what it was like

Sea Bass is always good in the Troc. Great atmosphere.

Cedar Trees food is interesting, atmosphere is great on weekends with bellydancing. It's in a cavern like basement, nice though.
