Also another point, who cares if an escort uses drugs? It is her money after all and she can spend it how she chooses. I would be more worried if my GP was using drugs, or my dentist, or the pilot on my flight whose action under the influence can have an adverse affect on my life. And being an escort who has seen a great deal of clients from all levels of society on an off drugs, I can tell you, you REALLY don't want to know what your kids orthodontist is getting up to on a Sunday night, or what is getting up him for that matter!

it always suprises me how popular alcohol is amongst the population.
the same courts that licence it's sale-spend a lot of time sorting it all out again.
people are using at home more, with less attention to measures or price constraint.
the impact of this will become known in years to come.

But thats exactly why i dont think drugs should be legalized in any way because people will inevitably misuse them. During the madness of the head shop days people got it into their heads that taking the shit out of there was seemingly ok cos it was legal. One mate in particular who was extremely anti drugs and use to give me a fucking 5minute lecture everytime i use to smoke a joint would horse into the head shop shit knowing full well the shit was nasty nasty stuff but burying his head in the sand cos it was legal. People who never took drugs in their life would try it out because making it legal gives a perception that it was acceptable and even a few mates that done the odd bit of coke at weekends would go into the head shops and buy stuff during the week but would never buy coke of a dealer during the week. Making any drugs legal will give youngsters a false impression that doing the stuff is ok which it isnt.

This may be the case in Ireland, because this is generally a repressive culture. Whether drugs are legal or not kids will want to try something that they are told is bad for them, or that they shouldn't do. This isn't only drugs, it is sex, it is sneaking out and staying out late. Should those things be illegal as well? It comes down to communication and being open about things, instead of hiding and pretending that it isn't happening, discuss openly and with intelligence.

non-catholics differ in how they deal with moral issues, as to
how catholics may tackle the same. its always been this way.
