very true but it doesn't happen, even though we are told it does, i also had 4 people just walk out before christmas because the weren't happy with the overtime pay, €30 per fucking hour!!
I like most people self employed i know get paid less than the minimum wage when you take into account the hours we do, the 3 weeks before xmas i did 130-140 hrs each week.
I sometimes wonder why?
And then there's the other side. I have a tenant. She was on the dole but wanted to work. Despite being worse off she got a job, but a year later was laid off.
Now back on the dole, but at a fraction of what she previously received.
What lesson has she been taught?
Get a job and we'll punish you

They are trying to bring that in
But again It can be harsh for some
Say again if you have kids or medical card or whatever and you get offerd a poxy job on the new minimum wage and end up loosing more working than you would on teh dole
Obviously it should be more enforced for the long term unemployed
Thise who refuse to work
Hi Doozer!
lose a few quid-but he feels better going back to the wife in the evening,
kids see daddy as a role model who works and will learn similar habits.
the system is not healthy and thats why they now attempt to reverse
a situation that took about 40yrs to create.
welfare was concieved to act as a safety net-
not a hammock!
