Listen, I don't mean to be insensitive, but I've met a few who it was clearly a lifestyle choice, and wmet a lot who were ''born that way''; I knew some people, years ago, who hung out at 'Out on the Liffey', and the times I went there with them, I was just appalled at how they treated each other; I felt sorry from them, if these were the people they had to hang out with, while being gay in Ireland

    Ok fair enough Anita
I know your not insensitive because you are just listing your expeirece
If some poeple want to act gay thats up to them
But the real gays did not choose their sexuality
    They discovered it

    Honestly, I'd love to know?
I... must say i'm confused by the point of this post. I can only speak for myself, but being comfortable in my own heterosexuality and without having any interest or experience in the subject matters. what value would my opinion be in a gay or ts forum? . I mean, I've never contributed to the Fetish, Street Prostitution, Sex Tourism etc threads either for exactly the same reasons..so why is the OP singleing out just those 2 sub-forums and wondering if it's out of concern of peers' opinions?
Nothing against being gay/bi! some of my best mates are gay and there're some very attractive ts on this site but it's just not for me.

Just curious as there is more of a stigma attached to sexuality than sexual perversions, but I am more talking about the general topics that are raised on these forums that heterosexuals could get involved in yet they don't. It was just a fleeting thought I had yesterday as to why they were so quiet.

As to Anita's comment, I agree there are a lot of perverse gays in this country and because of the stigma I would imagine only the die hard ones came out back in the day and maybe such radicals had there own issues..
