i have been a member of this fourm for over 3 years now i think thats longer than most of the posters that are post now and i have to say this site has gotten much worse in the last year or so with the off topic posting.
i also remember a time when patricia set up the soap oper section for off topic posting and that worked great for a while untill some of the mods and now site staff lately started with the off topic posting.
this is down to the site owner and if she cant be bothered to inforce her own rules this site will continue to go down hill.
but i guess it wont make any diffrence to her as she will still get her revenue from the paying advertisers.

The Soap Opera was never set up for off topic. It was set up for ppl who acted the bollox with threads. I dont know where you got that from as i distinctly remember when it was set up. Those threads were thrown into Soap Opera not becuase they went off topic.

no what should happen is the posters that constantly take threads off topic should be made so they can only post in the soap opera section as was don with liz hilton if you remember.

Liz was maggoted for acting the bollea. Again 99% of the threads as off topic happens mid-thread (its on topic otehrwise) should be moved to Soap Opera. Thats a mess if you ask me. Alot of the off topic isnt ramblings eitehr but just conversation gone off topic. Theres a difference.

Off topic and ramblings are not neccessarily the same thing although sometimes they go hand in hand. If i started a rambling thread and it stayed on topic then it wouldnt ,under your criteria ,be moved to Soap Opera. If you really want to get nitty gritty with it the the rules are - Off Topic Ramblings so anything thats off topic but not rambling is fine.

Whats meant by Off Topic ramblings to me anyway is anything non escort related and i think it would be a mess.

Surely the role of the moderators is to moderate. If the rules were hard and fast they would not be necessary. However, sometimes threads can go offtopic but still be ok for loads of reasons. Moderators should be there to make the decision to remove posts or lock threads or move threads if and when they think it is necessary.
