    Meh, ignore the old men.

    Couple of thoughts.

    1. Some ladies won't see men as young as you.

    2. When I first started this several years ago, what I noticed immediately was a significant increase in my self confidence around women in general. That helped me have the nerve go to and pursue real relationships.

    You might keep in mind approaching the punting that way and for that purpose... you're too young to deny yourself the true chase of girls your age. Use the confidence you might gain here to that end.
