The thing about teh Catholic Church is that they have indeed done good works, even helpoed out the poor and the likes. Leaving the peado priests out of it, as in reality its only the small minority that abused. Its as Lucy said the Rules. Catholic church is still living and operating in acient times. Take their views on contraception. No contraception allowed in any circumstances.
The only reason a person can have sex is if they are about to procreate andin todays soceity that isnt going to happen. So instead of looking after their flock they dooming them.
Their issues on homosexuality is still fairly bad
and their refusal to ordain women in the church is very outdated, going back to their being unclean during their menstrual cycle and not allowed to be in the church.
There are indeed many more rules that they bring to the table that are not really ethical in this day an age and headed by a few old men in hats who think in academic terms rather than in practical ones.
