by the sounds of it I'd say stay in Ireland the grass isnt always greener on the other side u know...

I know, thanks Jenny . I don't know if I'll miss anything here, as I haven't been here long enough to get really attached to things. I like it here though.

And from what I've heard so far, Romania and to be more precise Bucharest doesn't seem too great after all. But it would be a new country, new people, new way of life.

    Hmpf.
Is this the land where sun brightly shines, is this the existence of a heaven's sign?
Is this the locus the hallowed focus, where grace love and harmony combine?

Only thing is, I would have to move to Romania.

    Any thoughts?
Romania is mostly a wonderful country.
My mother is part Romanian, part Saxon and lives there at the moment in a wonderful city named Brasov (old german name Kronstadt). I have been there so many times, I love the food, the mentality, the parties, the shops etc ....

    Bra

The parts of Romania that are nice are absolutely outstanding. The parts that are not so good, are really bad or even scary. So you have to stick to the nicer areas, nicer towns and nicer people.

Are you going to Timisoara or Bucharest? Timisoara is a really a western city now, you'll feel very much like at home there. Bucharest (Bucuresti) is a little more controversial. it has some bad parts, however you'll see imediately what those are and take good care.

Romania is no longer a very cheap country, still is cheaper then Ireland in almost everything. But I remember many years ago going in a small town forgotten by the world, with my german ex husband and 4 other friends, eating in a nice restaurant a 2 course meal, a bottle of wine, desserts, coffee and we paid .... about 15 Euro Now if you expect to pay such prices, not a chance ...

Romanian is a big country too, there is so much to do and to see, from the seaside near Constanta, to the ring of mountains surrounding Transylvania, to the wonderful Moldovian part and the very modern yet traditional western parts.

Please be aware of escorts there. Don't ever pick up street girls as they always have a boss who's more likely to be a scary gypsy guy with an army of ex convicts. Most of the escorts on the websites have fake pics and there is no website to guarantee the pics are real. Forget about any trusty reviews. That's why I would personally pick girls listed in Punterlink, Open Adult Directory, girls with personal websites etc ...

Most of the Romanian women arereally beautiful and many of them have somehow loose morals.
You will be absolutetly able to have many beautiful girls that are not escorts, just for the sake of paying for some drinks in a night club and some ocasional presents. But again, be careful, they can manipulate you good. Also, some of them are not single and Romanian guys who could be very nice, can quickly become violent if jealous.

Normally, take the advice of other people going there. They will already know where to go, what to do and if you feel like doing a little exploring on your own, do it but make sure you take caution.
