Apparently she'd posted an ad as a duo which technically broke the rules, so Westie took down the ad. She re-posted it again shortly after, and Westie removed it again.
During this time Westie said he'd sent a message to Anna to tell her it had been a rules violation, as perhaps she wasn't aware of it. Westie had said he'd had some internet connection trouble throughout the day at his place, and he had stated afterwards that he now believes that his messages to Anna never got through to Anna as a result of this connections trouble. So, when Anna posted the ad for a 3rd time, he instituted an automatic 1-week ban, in keeping with the rules of the infractions system the E-I Boards have in place for dealing with broken rules like this.
An Don posted 2 threads asking why Anna had been banned, which Westie moved to Soap-Opera. Then began a long and drawn-out set of accusations by An Don against Westie, followed closely by Punterminator, both accusing him of arbitrary use/abuse of his powers as moderator, and for refusing to justify to them his reasons for banning Anna.
Westie got rather upset at the continued personal attacks against him, and issued an 'invitation' to anyone who would like to meet face-to-face to 'discuss' the problem. Around this point, Patricia herself intervened, locking a few threads and unbanning Anna, as it was believed and/or determined at that time that Anna was unaware that she'd broken the rules about advertising as a duo, and that Westie's messages to her never got through to her. Westie had followed the rules as well as procedure for rule-breaking and banning, and An Don and Punterminator felt emboldened by the fact that Patricia had undone Westie's banning of Anna, and saw it as a justification/vindication that their attacks on Westie had been justified, and continued their questioning, which led further to several PM's being sent between them, making a variety of accusations back and forth.
Westie has apparently since then decided to to step-down from his position as Moderator, to solely focus on doing the competitions.
This is as succinct of a summary as I can do without going into too much more detail. Between what myself and Anon have said here, I hope an accurate enough picture of last night's events can be seen by those who did not witness it. Please understand that I have taken no position on this matter, and am not 'siding' with anyone. I do not want to get dragged into any disputes or arguments between any posters on this forum. I was asked to help outline the situation, and have done so as objectively and accurately as I can.
