I play guitar, but I'm no Eric Clapton!

Back in the day, I started off playing Oasis songs (from 'What's the Story Morning Glory' and 'Definately Maybe'). These songs are ideal for beginners as they follow very simply chord patterns.

As I've got older, I'm more of a Beatles man and prefer to listen to/play Rock, Rock n' Roll and Rhythm and Blues!

    Get rockin' you guys!!!

Ive played guitar for close on 15 years now. Ive taught a few people but generally if you need more than 10 lessons its a sign you have the wrong instrument in your paws. Its not that you will learn everything in 10 lessons, these lessons should be used to show you how to hold, tune, re-string the guitar and other things like how to hold a plectrum.

When you start playing guitar your fingers on your left hand will be crying at you. Most people quit as soon as this happens. You should keep on going right through this. It takes about 3 months and your finger tips will harden. Then after that, the whole thing becomes an addiction you will never shake.

Also, buying a cheap guitar is a fatal mistake. Im not going to start arguing with anyone over this but if you dont spend at least 250 euros on one you might as well not bother (nothing in this world sounds worse than a guitar thats intination is off). - Spanish guitars (nylon string) are great to learn on and strum on but the sound isnt for everyone.

If you would like any more info let me know!

ps. Dont buy takamine guitar (like so many do) - overpriced crap
