Must see sights of Ireland

I was hoping for some insider information..at the end of my tour on thursday I am going to take a few days to have a little holiday. I don't have my car with me, and will be leaving from Belfast.
Has anyone got any recommendations for must see sights? Bearing in mind I only have a few days...no replies along the lines of come and see my **** please!

Well, that really is the question. Where is best to go from Belfast? I don't want to be on the train forever..but I do want to see something before I go home

Queens university is somewhere to visit in belfast,if you go to antrim there is giants causeway if that sort of thing floats your boat.

If you visit the tourist info office they probably have tours that go out there,probably would'nt be much more than an hour and a half,i would think.

Bus and train network isn't that great in the north. It only takes you to the main towns and you can wait ages for connections. Best thing to do is hire a car, get a sat nav and just drive where you feel like! The Antrim coast up out of Belfast, thru glenarm, ballycastle, portrush, portstewart, limavady then get a 10min crossing from magilligan to redcastle in donegal for a start. There's plenty of b&b and hotels and check in with the tourist board along the way. Anywhere in the north or south is beautiful even in the rain so enjoy!!!!

Hi Lucy

You should head west towards Derry along the north coast.
You will come across some small towns like bush mills were you will find the oldest licensed distillery in the world.
It is also very close to the famous world heritage site, The Giants Causeway, the Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge and Portrush.
Derry city is only about a hour away from these places where there is also lots to do as well.

Where ever you go in Ireland you will have great time there is always something interesting too see.
