    Default The "Northern" light show

    AURORA BOREALIS
    AT THIS TIME OF YEAR
    IN THIS COUNTRY
    LOCALIZED IN YOUR OWN BACKGARDEN?!

Did anyone manage to catch last nights show? A gigantic, frenzied sunspot released five back-to-back solar storms directly at our planet causing the northern lights to be seen as far south as Kerry. The flares are also due to cause interference with satellites and radio signals this weekend.

Was unaware of this last night or would have gone out to try and see it. Hopefully it will be there again tonight and visible from east of the country. Amazing spectacle!

I was getting ready to sleep when I saw the news, I jumped out of bed and ran to the balcony 🤩.

It's incredible, I love Northern Lights, I even have an app that sets off an alarm when it occurs in Northern Ireland and Ireland. I can't wait to travel one day and be able to watch it.

Up late last night too and caught the show. It was unreal. We may be in for another one tonight too.
