Guys there was a time when people were never allowed to change their names here, unless in extreme circumstances where their personal information etc was in danger of being found out or revealed, and this was at the discretion of Patricia............

The people who have the ability to do these name changes are pretty busy with other stuff here and probably don't really have time to do these kind of things at the moment..............

It's really for extreme cases only and you'd need to have a pretty good reason..........

    Sorry......................

I know Anon, and I've said and suggested the same thing in the past but it would be very easy for a trend to develope.........

People would end up wanting their name changed all the time for no reason at all...........

They'd be looking for name changes more often then changing their avatar............

I don't mean to be dismissive to anyone here, but I don't think things like this rate very high on the priority scale at the moment........

    Sorry 28DubJames...........And Happy birthday................

Just speaking on the matter of name changes :- it was something that I was hoping could be addressed to be honest.
I was in the chatroom last night when somebody mentioned to me that my name came up in a private warning post.
The person who informend me said they could not remember if it was for not paying or for being abusive.
Needless to say I was completely shocked, apalled, and upset that my name had come up in matters
which I would regard with more contempt than words can describe.
I was not able to relax until a friend of mine and a well respected escort on this site told me that the
post was about a kerry punter, and not me kerrypunter.
But if one person thought that was me, then how many more would think it as well.
There is only a space bar between me and every punter in kerry, either good or bad.

While I concede that my lack of imagination got me in to this prediciment in the first place,
I am kinda hoping that something can be done to change my username.

    Here is hoping anyway

Thanks for this post. I would have thought that a genuine threat to the security and privacy to an active poster/client is a really good reasonand merits use of this discretion.

Thanks for this and indeed other posts you have made on this.

I did ask Vampirejackie about this only a few months ago and told her I was concerned that I had a security issue with my username and she told me that it was no problem and told me what to do when I needed to push the button. I was advised to open up a new username account, inform her and she would then retire/ban the old existing account.

So, I opened up the new username account last Monday 13th June and duly informed management and requested the retirement of the the ksteve account. I was informed by management that VJ was no longer with E-I and that anyway the policy had been changed to stop this. I queried when had the policy been changed and the answer given was just 'now ' (ie. 13th june ) !!.

Erm, ksteve. This thread is a year old. I think the donkey may have died around then too, are you going to stop beating it?
