"Keep it real with me, and I'll keep it real with you"
Perhaps because the thought of having thousands chanting how you take it up the ass every week would kind of off putting
I watched a movie on the box the other night, can't remember what night or what the film was or who was in it, except for Julia Roberts. There was this guy called George, he played a gay guy, he was utterly hilarious, I wasn't going to watch the film, I thought was a chick flick, I was going to log into this site, but I decided to watch the film instead. I was dissappointed when I heard George was gay in real life.
Once a prick - always a prick.
In football most are percieved as tough guys its all part of a culture that has been going on for years.I am sure ther are plenty of gay guys in all sports but like someone else said the amount of abuse they could recieve would be soul crushing. I remember a cork hurler came out a few months back,a brave and courages thing to do.He has a book out at the mo telling of his experiences.
I have lived a life of regrets.
Ye big girls blouse, I bet you can't remember the name My Best Friend's Wedding (1997)
because being gay... is gay!!
I dont think most of the taboo is totally against homosexuals. I think there is the attitude that a homosexual man in a changing room of otherwise straight men in a way breaks the rules. He might not look anywhere at all, he might have no interest whatsoever, and be totally professional about it, but put it this way - would it be fair to have a straight man on an all lesbian team and share a changing room. He wont have a chance, they have no interest, but?........ Would they feel uncomfortable?
Yes to homosexuals in sport, as in everything else. But there's a few bridges to cross yet.....
