Sometimes I imagine as if I'm saying something, I agree that it helps you think.

It's like a mental algebra, how are you supposed to think complicated things and make complicated plans etc. if you don't verbalize what you're thinking....? I think everyone does it to an extent when they think about it...

Talking to yourself in quick utterances is fine, ExP, as long as you're not holding full blown conversations with yourself.
