I remember when I joined E-I and it was a fun place to post, but lately it is just no fun.
I no longer want to associate with this and therefore this is my last post. Nobody will even notice that I have gone nor will they care..
I will miss the odd poster but on the whole I don’t think I will miss E-I..
So on that note I bid you all farewell...

I agree with some of your comments Epsilon, but you are taking the whole thing a little too seriously.
Ok, some of the behaviour of posters is a pain, but why let it get to you.
Everyone needs a break from their routine and, maybe after a while, you will miss the boards and come back refreshed. If you do come back, great, if not, have a nice life.

If you leave, you let the people who are spoiling this site win, surely the best plan of action would be to stay & keep adding your point of view to the posts made. There was a site back in the North East of England which went through a very ropey time, abuse hurled at posters openly on the site, we stayed with it, they got peed off because we refused to bit, didn't respond or rise to the bait & left.
