    Exclamation need some legal help

hi guys,i went to see a escort last night, around 12 midnight, when i on the way back(im not from dublin so i dont know the road well)i followed the GPS to a one way lane(i think so),there is a continued white line devide the road into 2 lane,1 is for turning left, one is for turning right,i was on the right lane and want to turn right, but i thought that lane might for incoming veiche ,so i turned into the left lane that means i turned by broken the continued white line, then a garda on a bike came up and stopped me and checking my car and licence,i just got my learner permit last november, and he wrote lots of stuff down ,my plate number, driving licence, insurence all that, and told me i will be in court for uncompanied by full licened person beside me when i was drving.didnt mention anything about break the whith line or drive on the wrong side of the road.im a 30 years old,and my car is legal with insurence all that,i want to know what would happen to me ?will i get fined ,how much,or penalty points?or something else
if someone had any experience like this or someone who works in legal area can help me out here, i will be appreciated, thank u~~~

Like myself, you do seem to worry about things before they even happen. Cahnces are nothing will come of this and this garda was finding a way to scare you.

There are many Learner Drivers caught unaccompanied on the roads these days and do you think each of these are prosecuted? What I would say to ease your mind in the give the Citizins Advice Bureau a call or visit the website directly on http://www.citizensinformation.ie/ in which their operators should be able to ease your mind,

    Hope it all works out

    Rgds,

Relax, it was just some policeman trying to show his superiors that he was actually on the job. I would say that about 1 in 4 drivers are driving on their own with just a provisional licence or no licence at all. If they were to start to prosecute everyone, they would need hundreds of extra judges. Because there is still such a delay in the driving tests, it is recognised that many people have no choice to drive on their own with just a provisional.

The Guards took a case against a young lad down in Cork a couple of years ago when this law was brought in first. The judge threw out the case for some reason, so I don't think there have been any successful prosecutions since. If it goes to court, get a good barrister and you should escape any penalties.

It's good to know all the serious crime has been eradicated in that area and there is now time for matters of a bullshit nature to be pursued by a prick on a power trip.

hi i have a good bit of experience with this. IF he was on a bike in the city he is TRAFFIC CORP which means 90% will follow this up. What i understand from this is you went from left lane over to the right lane to make a right hand turn. So you got pulled he prob cautioned you under a section road traffic act 51a,b or c. as well as driving without a full lienced driver that i would not worry to much about. he is going to get you on something. no point in worrying just wait till you get more info by post and contact a solictor it will be a day in court and your legal fees should be no more than 150e and a fine on the day do not get a barristor 3ooe min and complete overkill for a simple road traffic case
