I’d love to say I’m adverse to this but I’m not. Again as a generality my sweet spot is probably 35 to 45 although I don’t have any issues over 45 I would not actively seek out.
I can relate to the word “seedy” unfortunately. I spent an afternoon in the not too distant past with a lady almost 1/2 my age. 1/2 the time inside and the rest out and about including a pub meal. She looked younger than her age. I look mine or maybe well turned out a year or two younger. I was acutely self conscious about it. It just didn’t feel right. You could argue “so what” and maybe nobody cares but it was an issue for me. Complete hypocrisy on my part as I had no issue being indoors and out of sight with her. I’m only speaking on my own behalf here but I just couldn’t see her again after. There’s social conditioning at work here no doubt but ultimately I think you need to be comfortable with your own parameters to have a truly enjoyable time.
This week I visited my favourite lady two times. Monday and Tuesday. Her age profile when she is working is out of date by a few years. I find her a very attractive woman and her age is completely irrelevant to me. On Monday after the hour we went into town for a spot of food shopping and had a meal together. Other than the fact we are obviously different nationalities I don’t think there was anything too odd about us as a “couple”. It was comfortable and almost domestic for me. We agreed I’d help her move a kitchen appliance at some point soon. She’s obviously younger than me and looks it but not to my mind eyebrow raising . I may of course be deluding myself on that one.
My 2c and people’s relationships with other people obviously cover a huge spectrum. My experience is mine only and I’d never judge anyone else’s decisions. If you’re treating each other with some kindness empathy and hopefully having a good time doing it age should be just a number.
For me I can’t quite reconcile the age thing in my head.
