I am honest about my views, if you don't give a genuine reason for banning someone other than 'troll' who is to know. As far as I am concerned I do not care about the excess baggage around this site and members. I've seen and enjoyed posts by people like BPM and with fewer people like him you dilute the enjoyment of this site. My point about you banning is that this is an area where all mods choose to be particularly vigilant...if only the same duty of care was applied consistently to other areas of this site and its' operation.

What you need to remember is that many of these trolls that we ban have in fact tried very hard to destroy this site, so you may have gotten enjoyment from their posts but the fact is there would be no site if these people had gotten their way. The very people who skulk back here and post are the ones who wanted to destroy this place and they did not care about you or anyone else then having no site at all to take part in or use to find an Escort.

They are banned for good and any profile we feel is them is also banned. We know who to watch the instant they post and if they post once or 1000 times before they let slip who they are then post history is no immunity from being banned.

We have been appointed to do various tasks and are suited to some more then others, I am good at this as are all other mods, others are better at reviews task and concentrate on that.

Bare in mind that if we were not around a few months ago this site forum would have been taken over by trolls and without us it still would happen, so do not blame us for maintaining vigilance in stopping that, these small few are on a list of people never again allowed here and any time they let slip who they are we will ban, we know what to look out for even if you may not but I assure you these people did there best to destroy what you enjoy.

I can see how some bannings might appear somewhat heavy handed to the casual observer at times, but QPH is right in what he just said there. This place turns into troll city very quickly. We need mods here, the place is so much better for having mods. And I think most of the banned are actually the same small group of permanently banned users coming back time and time again and ultimately to cause trouble. Trying to make mods look bad is a hobby of theirs, but if you are here every day like I am you can see the patten and that these people offer nothing positive or productive to the community.

I had a problem with QPH banning of DrShipman as he was evasive about the reason -profile impersonation of a real person, which was patently absurd since the actual Dr. has been dead some 6 years- I therefore took him to task on this- His reply rather than being helpful was, to me at least ,unhelpful, arrogant and patronising. (snotty in one word) Excuse me if I didnt like that attitude.

I therefore sought some feedback from some other mods- Luther was good enough at least to quote relevant posts which led him to believe it was a troll. I can certainly accept his reasoning - It makes sense.
The mods have decided to pull the trigger, rather earlier than I would expect , but your correct in stating that any further breaches since the last time the shit hit the fan are being dealt with quickly and severely - I understand where you are coming from. Its your place - you make the rules.

Now, I've been around here quite a bit and see myself as a 'special one' - deserving of explanation when requested on this particular item - So There !!! I may be right, I may be...............(whats the word)

My curiosity has now been sated.

Alec, if we were to go into a big discussion on every troll here that we banned this site would be filled

and I mean FILLED

end to end with threads explaining why xy and z was banned. If other mods want to then fine but I am not. You can call that whatever the hell you want. I call it giving the people who tried to bring down the site as little air time as possible.
