You are right, but also the ambiguity was part of the fun.
In the OG FF7 I was absolutely, 100% Aerith (Aeris) (still the most impactful moment in video game history). I did enjoy the additional depth of character development in FF7R and how they played the dynamic amongst the cast. Excited to continue.

There seems to be some Shinra operatives among us(I know you can leave a better comment than that, I've seen your work...)
Maybe Koopa was right. It was the lack of visual stimuli.
