Looks like Djokovic will be able to play Wimbledon with the changes announced in Britain.

After Djokovic's surprise defeat in Dubai... Medvedev is to go World number one next week.

He will be the first player outside the big four to be number one since Andy Roddick way back in 2004!

Wow, only realised THAT after you posted it!!

Djokovic has only himself to blame to be fair . The points at majors are huge so he might struggle to get it back soon, maybe not until after Wimbledon, that's if he wins it!

Roddick was a legend , i loved his rocket serve & when he use to wear the Reebok clothing way back when!! If federer /nadal weren't around he would of won another 4/5 grand slams i think!

Yeah he lost 2000 points with the Australian Open...it seems he's going to miss Miami and Indian Wells also. He won't be able to get back to number one any time soon I don't think.

Yeah Andy was a great player and a good guy. It was Federer that did him really (3 Wimbledon finals, 1 US Open final). The 2009 Wimbledon final was a real classic. I think Andy won more games in that final, but Roger was too strong in the end.

Rafael Nadal has won the Mexican Open. He beat Cameron Norrie in the final.

It is his 91st singles title. It puts him fourth on the men's side behind Ivan Lendl (94), Roger Federer (103) and Jimmy Connors (109).

He will pass lendl but 103 might be a tough task!

Rafael Nadal's unbeaten start to the year is over. He lost in the Indian Wells final to Taylor Fritz. He picked up an injury and will be out for 4-6 weeks apparently. Not good preparation for the French Open for the "king of clay."

In other news...Ashleigh Barty has retired from tennis at the age of only 25. That's a surprise.
