I see a really good nutritionist here in my area. Now, I break alot of the rules of course, but some of the things I do agree to stick to. He explained to me that we are to move with the patterns of nature. So in the morning, there is dew on the ground and everything in nature is moist, and that is the beginning of waking up to a new day. So he told me that humans also should start their day with moisture. Of course that is why we always feel more awake after a morning shower or some kind of liquid to drink. As long as its liquid, we can wake up and start the day.
