    Default January

Anyone else making an effort this month to get or stay in shape after Xmas?, not talking dry January but dryer January maybe, not point kidding myself like

Anyway I've been back on the road, 6am 5ks every morning , yeah they're about as much fun as they sound but having the desired effect, I've also managed to remove the crap from my diet as well.

I was half man half pringle after 10 days off, First 10k of the year on Sunday...Pray for me.

Two ways of looking at the month, I'm choosing positively, get myself on an even keel and off to a good start for the year and hopefully looking forward to some great meets to come.

Anyone out there challenging themselves in 24 or is it just the same old same old for ye?

  3. Thumbs up

I’d challenge myself on my Long Hols

    Unknown corners of the world - preferably rock climbing or trekking // horseback riding ;

Or else hardcore farm-work on my bit :: nothing like bottle-raising ten suckling lambs 🐑 !!

Make hay by hand : with hand-held scythe , pitchfork - up at dawn ! Talk about Fit 😁 !!

In Dub I don’t have the mental time / discipline for Gym : for me it’s boring — but So Kudos to those who Do !!
I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.

    More of the same really,.

I was delighted to have put on no weight over xmas despite my overindulgence. The scales scared me for a week or 2

I have a routine that works well for me now. I tried a few times last year to really push myself and found me dreading doing various things, so i pulled back a little.
Have settled into something that works for me.

    All about balance.

    Plus, a phsical job helps

I'm aiming for a sub 90 minute 10 mile by mid Feb at optimum weight, dropped the best part of 4 pounds this week, think it was mostly turkey but it still needed to go

happy enough with 6ft/175lbs but always room to improve

Is it wrong that I go to the gym 3 times a week so I can eat more crap.
Need to cut back on alcohol and cut out the crap. Baby steps.

It was not lack of trying. Lol.

The scales did go north for a few days, but back to normal within a few days
