yeah the revenue thats correct its the same with road tax i pay 640 euro a year to bounce off pot holes i am driving a diesel car but with low omissions but because its a 05 and a two litre engine you pay more we live in a fucked up world but what can we do

If I could flick a ciggiem in the bin from a moving car, Id be a pro darts player or something. Plus fire in bins probably not a good idea id be charged with vandelism or arson. As for the ashtray, kind of dangerous while driving, dont want the car to fill up with smoke and impair my vison while driving, that would be a bit insane.Sorry Doozer, but i can't sympathise.Personally, i despise littering of any kind - there's plenty bins in the street - there's an ashtray in the car - it shows a complete lack of respect for other people's environment to throw s*it out for somebody else to pick up-
I remember walking down Patrick Street a while back just after they re-paved the thoroughfare and the amount of hardened chewing gum after one week was disheartening.People carry this 'so what?' attitude about them when it comes to rubbish and drunken behaviour yet will still castigate a certain ethnic group when they leave their own crap after them for the council/taxpayer to pick up.For me,keeping your locality clean is about having a bit of basic respect for other people and the fact that a few others have endorsed the littering prob shows that maybe us irish are indeed, a dirty race.

I agree that throwing a plant around isn't littering... you can't cause environmental hazards with a banana skin. If you throw an apple core into some shrubbery, your doing the planet a favour.
I think we should 'litter' everywhere with plant seeds. I hate all the packaging that comes with food, the packaging is littering as soon as it's made because you can never get rid of it properly. It never decomposes, while banana skins etc. add to the nutrients in soil naturally.

there was probably more tar in the cigerette but than what the council would put on the roads thats for sure
