I am angry today... I dont know how people think by asking you free now? i want to come now, can i come now if you available? would get a proper answer!
People just dont know what word "now" means??? By asking this means you are at the location or at the door,never ask those questions and dont use word " now" if you not at the exact location in that time. Even if you are close by you should call or text :would you be available in 10-15 minutes? Sorry i know is short notice! would work better than the questions i started the thread with!

I suppose it is a way of saying things, no matter who you want to see/book/ whatever.

Of course, I totally understand different words could be used for the same outcome though, yet, sometimes, we just forget about it.

. Asking is someone free now is possibly the worst thing you can ask a lady that you want to meet.

I remember Michelle posting about the word free. She would correctly prefer available. Both words, free and now are as the ladies point out, inappropriate.
I would ask the girls to remember that we punters can be nervous and definitely mean no offence.
I promise to pay more attention to my phrasing. Definitely ringing someone in Santry and you in Drumcondra should not use the now ( and if you walk Northwood it can be good 15 minutes)
