Sorry Tex, but a phone number displayed is a necessity in this game, nearly always a mobile. Girls can spot time wasters, assholes and dodgy clients by the number. A punting phone is a must, just buy a cheap pay as you go phone that you can lock away if needed or another SIM card. Maybe Carphonewarehouse is your first call

It's a bit late for me now, I've been using mine for two years now, I keep getting an odd call from an escort, "When you come see me again", that's why I keep my phone on silent mode, I shit myself every time it rings with an unknown caller displayed. I'm not really a mobile phone person, I didn't know what a sim card was for a long time, I'm still not sure where it goes, in te middle of the phone somewhere I guess.

otherwise - i dont agree with the escort that made the excuses about safety of the girls and why she appriciates a non-hidden number - she did even say that she knew where we were coming from with regards to using unregistered numbers and didnt acknowledge the fact or address it in any meaningful way.

As i have learnt now from mostly everyone in this thread -all the guys here are using unregistered sim cards to call escorts and then either turning the phone off or taking out the sim card. Even if there was warning about a certain number in an escort private forum for example - the punter would just figure something has happened since his non-hidden number calls are no longer being answered.

(1) the SIM
(2) The individual number of the hand set.

So if the "authorities" ever wanted to check who was calling the ladies a simple computer excercise would reveal the registered names and addresses of guys who just change the sim.

What if you are using an old phone though? Ie if you took your mates old handset that he doesnt use anymore coz he got an upgrade or something. Then you stick a brand new sim in it and a cross ref is done by the authorities? Does he get a nasty shock then or can he just say he got rid of that phone ages ago?
