I think a member trying to get another member banned should be hit with a serious warning of a ban for themselves. This is whether requesting a member to be banned by PM to the moderators or trying to whip up a frenzy on general chat. It happens too often...dirty tricks and some mods are weaker than others.

The John Dunne character and his cast of merry men will be sorted by the mods eventually. If his life is empty enough to continue to do that...not worth concerning yourself. Who was Dick Rogers though ? He was pretty funny.

On the subject of trolls...it's a word thrown around here constantly. What about IDF getting negative reputation on the music thread recently? He played a song and the accompanying comment was - "This man is scum."...I repeat he played a song. Not trolling no? The culprit I would guess is a respected, long term member with all green bars, but he couldn't be a troll? I got nasty comments about my daughter (vile stuff)...also alcoholism stuff. I mentioned to a mod before and asked why they don't leave the neg rep, but take away the comment option? I got the feeling they were getting kicks out of the comments and refuse to remove that option. Basically the comment section you can say absolutely anything and it's fair game. Stuff you would get a permanent ban for if said on the forum. Strange that they like it .

Some people could do with a trip to the Doctor's to get their heads checked.

If it is him, thanks for the heads up , back in the day red bars were used as a way of outing several of the worst on their return , not read any of the posts but will keep an eye. As to you being banned yourself , nope dont see that , however if some are abusing rockerman as detailed thats not on either especially daughter related , IDF thats an open wound that wont heal , no winners there not him .not the advertiser Steph , and certainly not the site.

My point was in a general sense there is a lot of influencing from some members to get what they want...as in certain members banned.

I put up a thread...got banned over it. It was off topic from the first response and went downhill. I will never be told to stay on topic by the mods again. Yes a hint of sarcasm in said thread, but still a genuine query and my original post was all true... happened many times.

I am paying for it now in other ways. Unbelievable actually.

I'm a direct man. I have no concerns about trouble I receive...same as in real life. My life is neither quiet nor peaceful and that is a fact. I am well able. If I sound like I moan it's more trying to make things better.

Tell me as a reasonable man...do you think neg rep comment option should be disabled? Why don't the mods care? I feel angry about the abusive comments IDF receives. It drives him crazy as he has shown. I laugh at mine, but the vile comments regarding other areas had me like a madman... frustrating having nobody to get angry at because it's hidden. Thanks is made visible so why the opposite is not the same. I feel a campaigner for this, but so far mods not pushed. Laughing about it at times to be brutally honest.

I like Stephanie as a poster. She is intelligent which I always respect. We have clashed...so what? I clash with anyone who knows me apart from little ones. People too protective here. Members can look after themselves.

IDF has to own his own stuff here, you can be certain that if you go at certain people hell will rain down , he knew that and it has. As to neg rep that debate going on for years , its not going anywhere so manage it . If you indicate it upsets you=catnip to some they are on it , too late to remedy that now for him. He and I used to have a v good early morning craic but it went west . How it fixes is that EVERYONE needs to stop fueling it ,he is not getting life ban despite best efforts of others, steph is not either so its just on and on it goes
