If you believe you have your freedom then you have already lost it, all you have is the illusion of freedom .
You have no freedom from taxes, laws that restrict you from being an individual or prohibitions that curb your desired life style. You are a number in a state register, you are watched by state police and moulded by state teaching (propaganda).

The democratic state, if moderately successful, gives us freedom from warlords, gang rule and tribal warfare.
But of course, if you didn't have a misspent youth inventing Facebook or Ryanair, it is advisable to fly below the radar when dealing with bureaucracy.
