Brazil have the best squad. They are favourites. France have too many injuries. England have an easy group. They will get knocked out when they play a good team. I think the european teams will struggle with the heat. Also the squads won't have long together before the start of the tournament. The summer tournaments they have better preparation. It is what it is with it been in the middle of the club season.

So the countdown is on, here's a few questions. Who will top the group with france and denmark in it? And if as expected brazil and argentina top their groups, who will finish 2nd in them groups?

First World Cup in a long time that I haven't had a good look at...I haven't even looked at the groups. Tempted to throw a few bob on Brazil...maybe 4/1 I think. I might also throw a few quid on Portugal if I get decent odds... wouldn't normally do that, but it's a messy tournament this year. May look at the groups for top scorer bet.

I will give Argentina a bit of a look too.

Netherlands are in with Qatar, Ecuador and Senegal. I'm thinking a few quid on Memphis Depay for top scorer. Neymar is in a much tougher group. England in a weak group (as usual) so Kane might be worth a look, but the heat could be a factor. Hard to call.

Yup you're not going out on a limb with that prediction. I'm going to go with Brazil... favourites though - shit odds. Usually I go for a better bet. I'd do Brazil/Neymar top scorer, but not the easiest group for Neymar to score in. Argentina will be dangerous...no room for Garnacho in their squad.

As I said I think of the European teams... Portugal might be a dark horse.
